ArtCAM Standard 2017 is not equivalent to ArtCAM Pro 2015 R2 it does not include all of the functionality available in ArtCAM Pro 2015 R2. Prices for ArtCAM Standard 2017 and ArtCAM Premium 2017 on a subscription basis are displayed in local currencies on the Autodesk Store.ĪrtCAM Premium 2017 is not equivalent to ArtCAM JewelSmith 2015 R2 with the exception of KeyShot and POV-Ray support, it contains all of the functionality available in ArtCAM JewelSmith 2015 R2, but also includes new features and enhancements. AC Standard is equivalent to AC Pro (is this correct), it costs $360 per year or $970 for a 3 year license.

PS: sorry about the block of text, I had made bulleted paragraphs but when I hit post it came up as you see it.ĪC Premium is equivalent to AC JS but without Keyshot or POV Ray,and it costs apx $3,000 per year or apx $8,100 for a 3 year license. Not sure why this product would be relegated to the depth of The Store but there it is. I also noticed as I tried to find AC that it looks like AC Premium is the most expensive of the products on offer. I would hope/expect its what you were paying to Delcam, but if AC Premium is selling for apx $3,000 per year you should expect, even if you are currently paying the old maintenance amount, that you will be asked to pay the going rate at some point in the future. I have no idea what you are paying for maintenance, or its equivalent, now.

I would also like to point out to current AC users who are (or were) on the old maintenance program. I hope I am wrong about this but thats the way it looks to me at this point. This, and the above, does not bode well for the future of AC for jewelers. If it were it would be featured more prominently. It would appear that as far as Autodesk is concerned it is not an important part of its offering. In addition, It is very hard to find anything about AC in The Store. If jewelers are not buying it then its not likely to be developed for that industry in the future. If AC Premium is not promoted as a jewellery solution it is not likely to sell to jewelers. A few things I would like to mention for those who may be interested. It does seem odd to me that it is not presented as a jewellery tool but as I said, not my concern. As to marketing, thanks for the link but I have no interest in this, its not my concern how AC is marketed but I thought I would mention it to you. AC Premium is equivalent to AC JS but without Keyshot or POV Ray,and it costs apx $3,000 per year or apx $8,100 for a 3 year license. Dillion, trying to get my head around this.
